Decoy Doctor Drop Line

The Drop Line connects to the two anchor points on your decoy and provides a single attachment point beneath it for anchoring or connecting to a spreader bar.

Swimmer Kit Use

When used with a Swimmer, the Drop Line can provide a centered anchor point that may be helpful in stronger current.

It can also be used to connect the Swimmer to the center of a spreader bar, allowing the system to move up to four additional decoys. In our tested setup, the anchor line is attached directly to the spreader bar using shock cord and at least one pound of weight. The shock cord allows the spreader bar to extend and retract more naturally as the Swimmer moves.

In little or no current, the Drop Line is not recommended as the primary anchor point for a Swimmer. Once the anchor line becomes tight, it can limit the decoy’s ability to turn naturally.

Splasher Kit Use

When used with a Splasher, the Drop Line creates a centered anchor point beneath the decoy. This helps keep the decoy positioned as it rocks and reduces the chance of it gradually spinning in circles during operation.

Built with monofilament line, aluminum crimps, and snap swivels. Simple, durable, and purpose-built for the Decoy Doctor system.

These setups are based on how we have tested and used the Drop Line. Water conditions, anchor placement, spreader-bar configuration, and the decoys being moved can all affect performance, so some trial and error may be needed to find the setup that works best for your spread.
